2007-2008 Water Project Information
Dear Club Presidents:
As most of you know, the water project 11 Distric 7890 Clubs supported last year in Cojomachaj, Guatemala in conjunction with Behrhorst Partners for Development (BPD) was highly successful from a number of perspectives. At my suggestion, BPD's President, Pat Krause, has assembled information regarding another village with similar needs for water, gray water filters, vented pit latrines and Onil stoves.
I am delighted to report that several clubs outside Area 6 that supported last year's project have contacted me and are expected to make a financial commitment again for this year's project.
My purpose in writing is to distribute the information, let you know of my availability to show the Power Point presentation of last year's project and ask for your club's financial commitment to support this project in Chiraminez. If you would like to obtain any more details or information, please feel free to contact me.
As with last year's effort, we are trying to finalize our financial commitments by the end of 2007 so that materials can be ordered, equipment delivered and construction can take place during Guatemala's "dry season" (January - May).
